In early 2007, the Scholars began a new community outreach project where pairs of tickets are donated to non-profit organizations (e.g. charities, schools, arts organizations) throughout the Greater Toronto Area. The tickets can be used according to the needs of the receiving organizations: some are used for fundraising (silent auctions or raffles), some for staff/volunteer appreciation, and some for music appreciation for the people who are helped by the non-profits. The goal is to reach out to people in the community who might not otherwise get the opportunity to attend our concerts, as well as to bring in people who might like our music but have never heard it before.
